FLASH O'DAY STORIES |
Below is a
running list of our Flash O'Day
stories. What in the hell is a Flash O'Day
story, you ask?
Thanks for asking.
A Flash O'Day is no more than 500
words long, is written in one hour or less, is based on random,
license-free images found on the Internet by me or Julia, and is
about whatever strange and often really odd interpretation I
might make of whatever the image is.
Originally flash stories were posted daily -- FLASH
OF THE DAY.
I see the image, noodle around in my brain a bit, usually make a
cup of coffee (dawdle), come up with an idea, and hightail it to
the camper to write. Then the collaboration part begins.
Working with the same more-or-less one-hour limitation, various
friends and family create images, sound files, and poems based
on what they feel
from the story, without seeing the
original image first. Mayhem ensues.
You can see the usual list of collaborators in the column to the
right. We try whenever possible to give credit to the images we
use.
